🧰 My Project Management Toolbox
All the software tools & technology I use to lead successful projects with confidence.
👋 Hey, Kyle here! Welcome to The Influential Project Manager, a weekly newsletter covering the essentials of successful project leadership.
Today’s Overview:
One of the most common questions I get across all channels involve what Project Management tools I use for X, Y, or Z.
I’ve finally compiled a FREE database of the 25+ hardware and software tools that power what I refer to as Influential Project Management.
Each of these tools play a key role in my project management strategy, improving efficiency, communication, and overall project control.

Hello my friend!
I'm entering into a season of creating new assets to help YOU – and I'm sharing the first one today!
The most common questions I get across all channels involve what tools I use for X, Y, or Z.
Let me start by saying that the BEST tool for any purpose is the one that you will actually use! Instead of hoarding tools because you think you "need" them, it's always better to assume you don't need a tool until it becomes clear that you do.
We’re in a transitional period where many people are doing tech for the sake of doing tech, which isn’t smart.
If you want to achieve better project performance, prioritize how exactly work is planned and performed before adding tools. Nothing else matters if we can’t actually lead ourselves and others in the right direction.
Sometimes, the simpler, less-technological way of doing things is better.
“The first rule of any technology used in a business is that automation applied to an efficient operation will magnify the efficiency. The second is that automation applied to an inefficient operation will magnify the inefficiency." - Bill Gates
So, if you're curious, I’ve compiled a FREE database of over 25 hardware and software tools. These are my go-tos for what I call ‘Influential Project Management,’ covering:
Administrative
Project Management
Drawings & Coordination
Scheduling & Planning
Communication
Team Collaboration
I’m calling this my “Toolbox.” It's yours for free, right below. No need to re-enter your email since you're a valued subscriber.

Hey Kyle, this list is great! There’s so many I would love to try in the near future. I think the only one I didn’t see is a manufacturing execution system (MES). We use Apriso and it’s pretty good. Has some faults, but we’re able to keep process plans with step by step instructions and updated drawings within. Thanks for sharing!
The tool list is so good!
